Marina Barcelona 92 to acquire Blohm+Voss La Ciotat

The acquisition enables MB92 to merge all of its activities in La Ciotat with Compositeworks SAS, and all employees will be integrated into the new structure.
Existing offices, site facilities and the 200m-long drydock itself will remain in full operation under the management of the newly formed organisation. MB92 will manage the merging and rebranding process that will involve the phasing out of the Blohm+Voss La Ciotat brand by the end of September this year.
MB92 focuses on the superyacht sector and currently services more than 100 vessels a year across a size range up to 200m in length. Its Barcelona facilities cover a total area of 124,000m2 and, apart from the drydock, include a 70m-long Synchrolift, a 150-tonne Travelift, repair quays for up to 14 yachts up to a maximum length of 220m, and a hard-standing area for up to six yachts. A 4,000-tonne Shiplift enabling the drydocking of yachts up to 105m-long, with a hard-standing area for up to 12 vessels, is to be completed by the end of this year.

Barcelona’s luxury yacht service, refit and repair company Marina Barcelona 92 (MB92) is to acquire the 51% share in Blohm+Voss La Ciotat, the exclusive operator of the 200m-long drydock in La Ciotat Shipyard, which is currently controlled by Blohm+Voss, a Lürssen Group subsidiary.
