Kotug completes Marsol acquisition

Rotterdam-headquartered Kotug International BV has completed the acquisition of Dubai-based Marsol International Ltd, an offshore and marine terminal service provider specialising in single point mooring (SPM) buoy terminals and related infrastructure. The acquisition adds to Kotug’s offshore service portfolio and strengthens its position in the Middle East.

Marsol has a track record of providing integrity management services for 32 SPM and other offshore terminals in more than 20 countries. Kotug CEO, Ard-Jan Kooren, commented on the acquisition. “Although we find ourselves in exceptionally challenging times, Kotug is committed to continue to strengthen and expand her worldwide activities. The integration of Marsol services will allow us to enter the Middle East market and add substantial value to our broad portfolio of services to our global customers.”

Kotug operates in terminal towage, harbour towage, offshore operations and salvage services. It is active in Europe, Russia, Asia, Australia, Africa and the Caribbean.
