IEC Telecom Group targets Danish market

IEC Telecom Denmark, located in an office close to Kastrup Airport, will focus primarily on the marine market, but will also offer satellite communications systems and services to government and local non-governmental organisations.
The Danish maritime sector ranks sixth in the world, IEC noted in a statement, with 40,000 employees and a fleet of 16.4 million gross tonnes. However, in addition to this important Danish market, the new office will also support clients operating in the North Sea, the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
"Shipowners all around the world now understand the need for a full cycle maritime platform to support crew welfare and vessel management needs," said Peter Visby, managing director of IEC Telecom Denmark. "The Scandinavian maritime market demands affordable and flexible communication solutions for crew retention, remote offices, remote monitoring and maintenance. This is what drives providers like us to work on more comprehensive satellite solutions.”

Communications company IEC Telecom Group, headquartered in France but with a worldwide presence, has opened a new office in Copenhagen as it expands its presence in the Scandinavian market.
