Swedish shipping company Rederi AB Gotland ("Gotlandsbolaget") aims to develop a zero-emission Ro/Pax ferry. Called Gotland Horizon, it is among Sweden's first projects to create a large-scale hydrogen-powered vessel for both passengers and freight.

Gotland Tech Development AB, part of Gotlandsbolaget, has just taken a shareholding in Swedish green hydrogen company Plagazi AB to support the project.

“Together with Plagazi's patented process and production of renewable and circular hydrogen at a competitive price, this goal is made possible. We look forward to an exciting journey and together leading the development of the hydrogen- and shipping market”, said Torsten Granberg, CEO Plagazi AB.
