ABB Turbocharging adds a Mediterranean service centre in Cyprus
The new facility, the first of its kind to be sited in a Limassol shipyard, involves the relocation of ABB’s existing facility in a move which, the company says, will support a closer physical pick-up point for marine customers, providing convenience and faster access to customised servicing for optimal uptime and fleet productivity.
Located on third-party premises, the new service point in open to all ABB Turbocharging customers across industries including marine, oil and gas, power generation, earthmoving and mining. Technicians and engineers will provide a wide range of turbocharger services both for vessels in drydock and for those undergoing afloat repairs.
"This is a positive agreement for ABB Turbocharging and will enable us to better serve our customers by offering reliable timely servicing directly from Limassol Port," said John Smyrneos, manager of ABB Turbocharging Greece & Cyprus.
