Greek ferry operator Seajets has drydocked its recently acquired cruise vessel Mykonos Magic at the Turkish repair yard of IÇDAS in Canakkale for unspecified upgrading work. The 102,784gt 2004-built vessel is the former Costa Magica and drydocked in Turkey on April 6th, having arrived from lay-up in Elefsina, Greece. IÇDAS operates Turkey’s largest drydock, which measures 370m x 70m x 10m.

Seajets bought the cruise vessel in early 2023 after having been laid-up in Europe for four years.

It is unclear what the Greek owners’ intentions are with Mykonos Magic, some reports suggest that the company will soon start up its own cruise line, but in the past Seajets has bought second-hand cruise ships and then sold them onto other operators.
