Singapore-based BW LNG has just acquired two 174,000m3 capacity 2011-built LNG carriers from Swedens’ Stena Bulk and is looking at the possibility of converting both vessels into FSRUs.

The two vessels are the tri-fuelled diesel-electric (TFDE) Stena Crystal Sky and Stena Clear Sky, which have now been renamed BW ENN Crystal Sky and BW Clear Sky, respectively.

BW LNG said that the “two ships represent excellent versatility and capability for trading, in addition to potential conversion into FSRUs in the future.”

Both vessels will be delivered straight into their ongoing charters with TotalEnergies and China’s ENN Energy.
