Busy end to March for Damen Shiprepair Brest

The end of March was a busy period for one of northern Europe’s leading ship repairers, the Brest facility of Damen Shiprepair. On March 26th there were three different types of vessel undergoing repair:

 

  • Le Commandant Charcot – 31,283gt 2021-built expedition cruise vessel, owned by France’s Ponant Cruises, Marseille.  This vessel had arrived at the yard for drydocking on 24 March from Rio de Janeiro
  • Cool Runner – 156,800m3 capacity 2014-built LNG carrier, owned by Greece’s Thenamaris LNG Inc., Athens and managed by BSM Hellas, Athens
  • Seajacks Scylla – 23,641gt 2015-built offshore construction vessel, owned by the UK’s Seajacks UK Ltd, Great Yarmouth
