Grieg Star chooses Marlink to support its digitalisation process

The move is part of the Bergen-based company’s drive to digitalise the operation of its vessels, which trade worldwide, as well as enhancing crew connectivity. Marlink will install and manage its XChange centralised IT and communications management system on all vessels, thereby reducing the technical and administrative burden for officers at sea and IT staff ashore.
Marlink will provide consultancy services on integrating the high throughput service into Grieg’s shipping and logistics operations, supporting the Norwegian company’s strategy of making operational and financial efficiency gains. Meanwhile, seagoing staff will be able to use the XChange system to access the internet and call friends and family from smart phones, tablets and laptops.
