NS United Kaiun Kaisha (NSU) will equip the NSU Tubarao, a 361m VLOC (very large ore carrier) built in 2020, with five 35m rotor sails from Anemoi by September 2025. The vessel, chartered by Vale International, aims to reduce fuel consumption and lower emissions, including CO₂, NOx, and SOx, by 6-12% through the installation of the wind-assisted propulsion system.
