Cyprus-based shipowner and third party manager, Intership Navigation, is to install OneOcean’s EnviroManager, a digital environmental compliance platform, across its entire fleet. The system will minimise the risk of non-compliance with respect to environmental risks, minimising pollution risk, avoiding potential fines and maintaining Intership’s strong reputation as a reliable shipping operator, the company said.
Captain Piotr Rusinek, a Fleet Superintendent at Intership Navigation, commented: “We have a longstanding relationship with OneOcean who have a proven track record for reliability and excellent customer service. In answering this particular brief, they have proved to be flexible and open-minded by developing a unique support solution that will help our captains and crew meet all environmental regulations.”
OneOcean’s EnviroManager is currently operating aboard some 2,000 vessels worldwide, supporting crews in compliance with Marpol and other environmental regulations. A traffic light notification system provides clear guidance on necessary action, depending on a vessel’s current position, helping to avoid risks and minimise costs.
Intership Navigation employs about 3,500 seafarers and 160 shore personnel in its Limassol headquarters.
