Ulstein wins fourth SunStone order

The first four vessels in this class will be named Greg Mortimer, Ocean Discoverer, Ocean Victory and Ocean Explorer

The Ocean Explorer, a CX103 design incorporating the Norwegian company’s distinctive X-Bow®, will be built at the CMHI shipyard in China. The vessel will be chartered to Vantage Cruise Line and will operate in regions including East Asia, the Mediterranean and Scandinavia.
The 104.4m-long Infinity class of ships have a passenger capacity of 130 to 200 and accommodation for a crew ranging from 85 to 115 persons. The vessels represent a successful worldwide collaboration: the design company is Norwegian, the shipbuilder is Chinese, and the owner, charterer and interior design firm are American.
The first vessel in this series of potentially ten vessels, the Greg Mortimer, is in its final outfitting phase prior to its scheduled delivery in the third quarter of this year.

Expedition cruise operator SunStone Ships has signed up for a fourth ship in the Infinity series of expedition vessels designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions.
