The sixth vessel of project RSD-44 was launched

The sixth vessel out of ten multipurpose bulk carriers under RSD-44 project for Volga Shipping Company was launched at Okskaya shipyard (Navashino, Nizhegorodskaya region). The vessel was named “Captain Kadomtsev”.

Bulk carriers RSD-44 are suitable for the transportation of bulk, general cargoes and containers and will replace the vessels of the previous series “Volga-Don”. The new vessels are said to be characterized by environmental friendliness, economical efficiency and vessel convenience. A low overall height of only eight meters will allow the vessels to pass under the bridges of Russian cities without raising them contributing to reduce the time of cargo delivery.
