Shipbuilding contract for six offshore support vessels

Delivery of the first vessel will be in 19 months, with the additional vessels to be delivered in five month increments thereafter. These “Tiger Shark” series vessels are approximately 5650 DWT and are well suited for world-wide operations, meeting all of the latest Marpol and IMO regulations. These vessels will be classed by American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) with A1, AMS, ACCU, Circle E, FIFI 1, DP2, UWILD and ENVIRO + certifications. The vessel will be equipped with a Converteam supplied diesel electric propulsion system with Schottel Z-drives rated for a total propulsion output of 5,000 KW with overall power provided by four Cummins QSK60M diesel generators rated at 1,825 KW each, these vessels have been engineered to provide Harvey Gulf with fully integrated, fully automated Offshore Support Vessels.
These new vessels for Harvey Gulf will follow on the heels of a third DP2 offshore support vessel, the "Harvey Carrier", currently being built by Eastern Shipbuilding for Harvey Gulf and scheduled for delivery in June. The two sister vessels are the "Harvey Spirit" and "Harvey Supplier". The engineering and design work for all of these vessels have been produced through the efforts of Harvey Gulf and Eastern, as well as Eastern’s design agent, STX Europe of Vancouver, Canada.
