Sallaum Lines adds ninth vessel to its newbuilding programme

Sallaum Lines has signed a contract with China Merchants Shipyard for one, option one, 8,600-CEU pure car and truck carriers (PCTC) for delivery in 2029. The new vessel will be LNG dual-fuel and ammonia-ready.
The latest contract takes the shipowner’s newbuilding programme to nine vessels costing more than USD 850 million. Four have already been delivered; one is due for delivery in August; a second in December; and three more for delivery in 2029.
The latest order comes after another contract with Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry for two, option two, 8,600-CEU vessels.
