Norwegian offshore vessel operator Rem Offshore AS has ordered a construction service vessel from Norway’s Green Yard Kleven. Green Yard Kleven, established when Green Yard recently bought Kleven shipyard. The taylor-made vessel is scheduled to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Havyard Design & Solutions AS is responsible for the design, which will be a further development of the Havyard 833 WE platform supply vessel.

The 89.7m-long and 19.6m-wide CSV will have a walk to work gangway and three cranes. It is designed to accommodate 99 personnel. The future-oriented environmental focus includes being prepared for zero-emission operation with fuel cells and expanded battery pack of 12,000 kWh.

“This is an important project for the local maritime industry as it will give assignments and work for many companies next year. In addition to giving ripple effects in a demanding time, it is an exciting assignment for Green Yard Kleven,” says Kjetil Bollestad, CEO at Green Yard Kleven.
