Order for two seismic vessels

The newbuildings will be deployed in worldwide operations for the location and exploitation of seabed oil and gas reserves. For the two vessels, the Flenburger shipbuilder said, strong emphasis has been put on the enhancement of efficiency, comfort, reliability and endurance to guarantee safe operations in the most challenging weather conditions as well as in arctic regions. According to FSG’s managing director Peter Sierk, the offshore segment is a new and important field of business for the shipyard. The delivery of the 127m-long vessels is scheduled for 2014.
