With a length of 88m and a breadth of 17.6m, the maximum speed of the 4,100 dwt Havyard 832 L MKII will be 15 knots. Accomodation is offered for 23 persons. According to Havyard, a 20%-fuel reduction under certain conditions will be possible. A significant improvement of the new design is the aft of the ship with twin skegs (bulbs in front of azimuth thrusters), improving the influx of water to the thrusters for a higher efficiency as well as a better stability of the ship’s body.
The delivery is planed for the second quarter of 2014 and the contract value is close to NOK 300 million.
