Next-generation 832 class PSV

Image of the Havyard 832 L MKII design

With a length of 88m and a breadth of 17.6m, the maximum speed of the 4,100 dwt Havyard 832 L MKII will be 15 knots. Accomodation is offered for 23 persons. According to Havyard, a 20%-fuel reduction under certain conditions will be possible. A significant improvement of the new design is the aft of the ship with twin skegs (bulbs in front of azimuth thrusters), improving the influx of water to the thrusters for a higher efficiency as well as a better stability of the ship’s body.
The delivery is planed for the second quarter of 2014 and the contract value is close to NOK 300 million.

Havyard Group AS has announced a contract to deliver the design and engineering of the company’s next-generation type 832 platform supply vessel (PSV).
