New Swedish shipping company to focus on north Europe routes

The new company brings together Wallenius’ expertise in industrial shipping – owning, building and management – and Swedish Orient Line’s experience in forest products and other cargo logistics in the north European area.
The combination of the two companies’ expertise represents an investment that will strengthen logistics infrastructure to meet the needs of industries in Finland and Sweden, Wallenius SOL said in a statement.
The new company has already signed up two long-term Finnish clients. Stora Enso is a renewable materials company focusing on wood and biomass and Metsä Board is a paper and pulp enterprise.
