Increasingly local industry players of the growing Vietnamese market are looking at reinforcing their presence as well as gaining greater market share at home through Maritime Vietnam 2011.

 

Providing a local profile of exhibits are Vietnam’s Goltens Vietnam, Koromoski – EKC Vietnam, Kwong Soon Offshore & Marine (Vietnam), Phu Thai Cat and Petroleum Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) amongst many others. Also industry leader Caterpillar, with local investments in Vietnam, is taking advantage of the mileage to be gained with participation at Maritime Vietnam.

Maritime Vietnam 2011 receives full endorsement and support from the Ministry of Industry & Trade Vietnam, Ministry of Planning & Investment Vietnam, Ministry of Science & Technology Vietnam and Ministry of Transport Vietnam, in its bid to support the government’s aim to turn Vietnam into a strong marine-based economy outlined in their ‘Vietnam’s Sea Strategy up to 2020’.

As per organizers IIR Exhibitions Pte Ltd  and Vinexad (Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Compan), some 5000 visitors to Maritime Vietnam 2011 will be able to take a look at some of the most diverse, dynamic and global exhibits of over 350 representing companies from 20 countries and eight national pavilions, making it one of the largest international exhibition for the industry in Vietnam. They include China, Germany, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, Korea, Norway, Panama, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, UAE, USA, UK and others.

To further emphasise the main objective of Maritime Vietnam on “where business gets done”, the organizers will be presenting the One-to-One Buyer Meetings, specifically to help pre-registered buyers meet new prospects who fit their pre-requisites. There are also a host of other networking events including shipyard visits, buyers seminar and technical seminars to make this event the key maritime platform for external exchanges, investment and trade in Vietnam.

Maritime Vietnam 2011 continues to receive strong industry support and endorsement from Ministry of Industry & Trade Vietnam, Ministry of Planning & Investment Vietnam, Ministry of Science & Technology Vietnam, Ministry of Transport Vietnam, Baltic & International Maritime Council (BIMCO), British Marine Equipment Association (BMEA), Holland Marine Equipment (HME), Institute of Marine Engineers India, Indian National Shipowners Association (INSA), Norwegian Maritime Exporters (NME), Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers Singapore (SNAMES), VDMA and Vietnam Register.
