MAN Energy Solutions’ subsidiary, MAN Cryo, is to supply a LNG fuel gas supply system for a multipurpose palletised cargo and refrigerated Lift-on/Lift-off (LoLo) vessel, to be built at Tersan Shipyard in Turkey for Norwegian owner Egil Ulvan Rederi.
The MM85CC design from Norway’s Multi Maritime will have a vertical, vacuum-insulated 364m3 tank, a tank connection space with two redundant LNG supply trains based on both a pump and pressure build-up unit, an LNG cold-recovery evaporator and an integrated bunker station. The 3,500dwt vessel will operate between Tromsø in northern Norway and Østfold in the country’s south-east. With a length of 86m, the multipurpose ship will have reefer capacity, a refrigerated hold, elevators for palletised cargo, and capacity to discharge fish food at fish farms along its route. The vessel is due for delivery in late 2020.
