IACS expands membership

The IACS Council accepted the full membership application of IRS during the first day of its 61st Council Meeting in Hamburg.
IACS Chairman Dr Hermann J. Klein asked Captain J.C. Anand, Chairman of IRS, to support IACS ongoing efforts towards increasing ship safety and quality.
IRS has been "Associated Member" of IACS since 1991. This membership category was abandoned in October 2009 when IACS introduced a single class of membership.
