Havyard wins more design contracts

The two new cargo vessels will join Royal Arctic Line’s fleet

The ships will be built at Nodosa Shipyard in Pontevedra, Spain.
The vessels are the third and fourth to be built to the designer’s specification, Havyard 971, for Royal Arctic Line. The 37.6m-long ships will have two temperature-controlled cargo holds and a total capacity of five containers or 60 pallets. The design has been developed following close collaboration between the companies.
The first ship is due for delivery at the end of 2020 and the second will be commissioned four months later.

Greenland’s Royal Arctic Line AS has chosen Havyard Design & Solutions of Norway to provide the design for two cargo vessels to operate in challenging ice-class conditions, supplying food and essential items to shallow-water ports and remote villages in the north west of the country.
