German Dry Docks acquires shares of Rotterdam Ship Repair

We have been working together for a long time. That formed the starting point for the idea of the acquisition,” said Guido Försterling, managing director of GDD. Leo Baks, CEO of RSR, added: “Together we can organise all possible repairs on ships, engines, machines and installations within the shortest time. This saves time as well as money, which - above all - is the most valuable asset for our customers. In regard to engines and governor techniques our customers profit from the cooperation of the two companies with MWB Motorenwerke Bremerhaven AG.” The complete takeover of shares will be realised in two steps of 50% each.

Bremerhaven-based German Dry Docks (GDD) has bought shares of Rotterdam Ship Repair BV (RSR) to establish a complete service network for harbour and voyage repairs along the Dutch and German coastlines.
