The LNG-fuelled ferry, 185m long with 257 passenger cabins and a capacity of 2,600 lane-metres, will be electrically powered and will meet all current and known future environmental regulations.
Meanwhile, late in December, the German shipyard delivered Siem Offshore’s second well intervention vessel, Siem Helix II. Together with its sister vessel, Siem Helix I, the Salt-design vessels are amongst the most complex ships of their type, according to FSG. The 158m-long vessels will be chartered to Helix Energy Solutions and will provide well intervention services for Petrobras offshore Brazil.
