First container vessel in a serie of five

"Hanjin Long Beach"

"Hanjin Long Beach", the first in a series of five 8,600 TEU vessels, joined the company’s NE-4 (Asia North Europe) service from April 29th in QingDao. The NE-4(Asia North Europe) Service has the following port rotation: Qingdao-Shanghai-Ningbo-Hong Kong-Singapore-Port Said-Hamburg-Antwerp-Port Said-Singapore-Hong Kong-Qingdao.

Hanjin Shipping states that this new 91,600 gt vessel, equipped with a state-of-the art engine of 69,573 kW output, consumes less fuel than any other ships in the same class and can easily change its speed according to operational situation. The vessel's speed amount to appr. 25 knots.

Meanwhile, Hanjin Shipping will receive the rest of the 8,600 TEU vessel after 2011 on a consecutive basis.

Hanjin Shipping took delivery of a new 8,600TEU vessel from Hyundai SamHo Heavy Industries.
