First 10,000TEU class containership for Hanjin
Named “Hanjin Korea”, unlike the company’s container vessels usually named after different cities around the world, is the first of the series of five 10,000TEU class ships ordered from Samsung Heavy Industries. "Hanjin Korea", 349 m long and 45.6 m wide, is equipped with a fuel-efficient and eco-friendly engine that can reduce both fuel consumption and CO2 emission.
According to Hanjin Shipping, the vessel will be deployed in Asia-Europe trade.
The remaining units of the series are scheduled to be delivered by year 2011.
