Fincantieri delivers cruise ship Explora III
The Explora III represents the next phase of MSC Group's investment of more than EUR 3.5 billion in its fleet

The third in a series of six cruise vessels under construction for MSC Group’s luxury brand, Explora Journeys, has been delivered at Fincantiere’s Sestri Ponente yard in Genoa. Explora III has capacity for about 920 passengers and is the first in the series to be powered by LNG.
The three remaining cruise ships are under construction: two will be commissioned in 2027 and one in 2028. Explora III and those that follow will be able to operate on new forms of LNG, including bio-LNG and synthetic LNG as well as biofuels.
All ships in the series are equipped with shore power connectivity and the last two vessels, Explora V and Explora VI, will also have fuel cell installations.
