Double-ended ferry “Stella” delivered

Classed by Bureau Veritas, the newbuilding "Stella" will operate in the Turku archipelago in Finland, on the Korppoo – Houtskari route and will enter into service at the beginning of 2013. The vessel's length and the challenging ice conditions on the route set special requirements on the ferry's performance. According to STX, particular attention has been paid to energy efficiency and safety arrangements. One feature offered to the passengers is a modern indoor café. The delivery also included three floating link spans, facilitating rapid loading of the ferry.
