Danaos Corporation takes delivery of its 42nd containership

Danaos Corporation, Athens, took delivery of a newly built containership, the "CMA CGM Musset", expanding its operational fleet, following the sale of the 30 year-old "Eagle Express", to a total of 42 containerships aggregating 177,229 TEU.
The "CMA CGM Musset" has a carrying capacity of 6,500 TEU, built at South Korean shipyard Sungdong Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering and was delivered on schedule. It is 300 m long, 40 m wide and has a speed of 25.60 knots. The "CMA CGM Musset" has already commenced its 12-year time charter for French operator CMA CGM at fixed rates immediately upon delivery.
