BMT design selected as patrol vessels

British marine architect BMT said its design has been selected for two fast patrol vessels for the British navy. The vessels will be built by British yard Marine Specialised Technology (MST).
With an overall length of 19m, the new design, which is capable to reach a speed of 40 knots, has been selected by the UK Ministry of Defence to be operated by the British navy’s Gibraltar Squadron. As part of this public procurement, BMT will be providing a comprehensive Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) package.
The vessels are scheduled to be delivered over the course of the next three years.
