Bernhard Schulte Offshore takes delivery of CSOV Windea Carnot

A new twin-stern commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV), Windea Carnot, built by Norway’s Ulstein Verft on behalf of an institutional investor, has been delivered to Bernhard Schulte Offshore. The vessel is the third of three sisters built by Ulstein that the German company has commissioned since mid-2025.
The Twin X-Stern arrangement provides good manoeuvrability, reduced ship motions, and improves fuel efficiency. The vessel has hybrid battery propulsion and is ‘ready’ to use methanol as fuel in the future. The Windea Carnot can be deployed both on operations and maintenance projects and offshore construction support.
The vessel has accommodation for up to 90 charterer’s representatives, has a height-adjustable walk-to-work gangway and elevator tower to ensure safe transfers of personnel, and a helideck capable of handling helicopters with a take-off weight of up to 8.6 tonnes. A five-tonne motion compensated crane is available for offshore handling procedures
