U.S. shipping company American Cruise Lines said it has ordered two more inland river cruise vessels from U.S. yard Chesapeake Shipbuilding for operation on the Mississippi river. Construction has started and the vessels are due to be delivered for the 2021 season.

The two riverboats will be sister ships to the two vessels previously ordered, the American Harmony and American Jazz. With a capacity for 190 passengers, the vessels have large lounges with large glass windows, offering good views. The new ships will also feature a five-story, glass-enclosed atrium with a large domed skylight, which serves as the central gathering point for the entire ship. The vessels have cabins including a series of large suites.
