An official visit by the Governor of Alabama to Austal’s Western Australian shipyard has underlined the mutually-beneficial relationship that exists between the two parties.

Austal has unveiled its new 102-metre trimaran vehicle-passenger ferry platform, which is currently under construction at its Western Australian shipyard and available for purchase.

With new deliveries still flowing out of the world’s shipyards, the ABS-classed fleet has breached the 150m gross tons threshold for the first time in the 147 year-old society’s history.
