The Flemish Prime Minister Kris Peeters has signed a contract with German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen for a new pilotage system for the Belgian sea ports.

Wärtsilä, one of the marine industry’s leading ship power system integrator, is to combine all its ship design units into a single entity, to be known as Wärtsilä Ship Design.

The joint venture for the construction of five U.S. flag product/chemical tankers of U.S. Shipping Partners L.P., Edison,took delivery of the product tanker "Golden State".
