Canadian operator Teekay Corporation (“Teekay”), headquartered at Vancouver, has signed an agreement with investment company Merrill Lynch Commodities, Inc. to jointly develop a project to convert the LNG carrier "Arctic Spirit".

After finishing of outfitting details and performing successful sea trials, the fourth SIGMA CLASS Corvette, "KRI Frans Kaisiepo", built by Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding (DSNS), Vlissingen, The Netherlands, was handed-over and commissioned to the Navy of the Republic of Indonesia.

Qatar Gas Transport Company Ltd. (Nakilat), Doha, and Damen Shipyards Group, based in Gorinchem, Netherlands, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to form a joint venture to manage a new shipyard in the port of Ras Laffan.
