OceanScore signs up more owners

Hamburg-based emissions compliance consultancy, OceanScore, now has more than 2,300 ships signed in to its emissions management system. The network, with its various pooling options, is expanding steadily with the listing of a series of new clients in recent weeks.  

New owners include Athens-based Almi Marine, Hong Kong-headquartered ship manager Anglo-Eastern and dry bulk owner Cetus Maritime, Eurobulk of the UK, Greece’s Eurotankers, and Meiji Shipping of Japan.

The larger the setup, the more options are available through the OceanScore network to minimise the cost and maximise the opportunities in effective emissions management under the EU Emissions Trading System and FuelEU Maritime.

The company’s systems facilitate emissions tracking and automated invoicing, and ensure transparency by vessel, voyage, and owner/operator/charterer. Clients can also access transparent pricing and legal structures through the FuelEU Pooling Marketplace. The setup also allows forecasting and fuel-efficiency planning for the future.

Since it was launched in early June, the company’s FuelEU Pooling Marketplace has notched up its first successful matches, with surplus and deficit positions being shared, deals being signed, and counterparties negotiating directly through the OceanScore-supported structure.
