Marlink and Metis sign MoU to promote IoT technologies

Marlink, headquartered in Paris and Oslo, and Athens-based Metis, a marine digital technology specialist, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate on expanding and developing IoT capabilities for shipowners and fleet operators.

Marlink is to become a strategic integration partner for Metis’ vessel performance and operational data systems. It will combine Marlink’s maritime digital infrastructure, cyber secure network, and customer support capabilities with Metis’ systems thereby enabling end-to-end data acquisition and AI-powered analytics.

The partnership will help Marlink to promote its operational intelligence systems, harnessing more effectively vessel operating data including fuel use, emissions, voyage optimisation, machinery performance and compliance reporting.
