Swedish transport publication, Dagens Logistik, has once again named the Gothenburg region as the best logistics location in the Nordics. This is the 25th time that Gothenburg has won the accolade out of the publication’s 26 annual assessments.
The logistics paper analysed a series of factors including the versatility, accessibility, and sustainability of logistics infrastructure including roads, railways, ports, air cargo terminals, and intermodal transport facilities. The publication also took into account freight flows to, from, and through the region, conditions for imports and exports, and proximity to towns, cities, and consumer markets.
The Port of Gothenburg’s Jacob Minnhagen, senior market development manager, commented: “We are pleased with the recognition, which we see as confirmation of the port’s importance and the region’s joint efforts to build a strong and innovative freight hub.
“The port is central to the region’s role as a logistics location, and over the past year its position has been strengthened both in Sweden and internationally. Not least through an expanded network of shipping services and continued rail development linking the port to inland destinations resulting in record volumes in 2025, increased market shares, and a strengthened role for the port as a hub for Nordic trade with the world.”
