Black Marlin arrives in Hobart ahead of historic loading operation

The 217m-long heavy-lift vessel Black Marlin has arrived in Hobart to transport Incat’s 130m-long battery-electric ship, Hull 096, to South America. Hull 096 was recently moved under its own power from Incat’s shipyard to Macquarie Wharf. Preparations are now under way to load the vessel onto Black Marlin. The operation is expected to take place later this week, subject to weather and operational conditions. Hull 096 will then be delivered to Buquebus and is due to enter service between Argentina and Uruguay.
