First turbine installed at DONG Energy’s Gunfleet Sands Offshore Wind Farm project

In the Thames Estuary off the East coast of England the first turbine was installed at the Gunfleet Sands Offshore Wind Farm project of Danish energy company DONG Energy.

Rig-build contract

Rowan Companies' manufacturing subsidiary, LeTourneau Technologies, Inc. ("LTI") has signed contracts valued at appr. US$185 million with a Brazilian construction consortium to provide the rig kit, rig design and drilling equipment for two LeTourneau Super 116E jack-up rigs.

First turbine installed

At the offshore wind farm Horns Rev 2 in the North Sea situated 30-40 km off the west coast of Denmark the first turbine was installed by the Danish project developer Dong Energy, Siemens, who delivers the turbines, and the Danish supplier of construction services A2Sea.
