Drydocks World completes Rashid D jacket and topside

The unmanned platform for Dubai Petroleum

The fast-track development, completed in less than ten months, includes a 950-tonne topside module for oil and gas processing, a 500-tonne jacket to support the topside, pile fabrication, oil, water and gas riser fabrication as well as subsea spools to connect the platform to Dubai Petroleum’s existing subsea network. The structure, the fourth project to be completed by Drydocks World for Dubai Petroleum, will be located off the coast of Dubai in a water depth of 31m and is designed to remain in place for at least 25 years.
"The platform will be part of the Jalilah and Rashid field developments, and we are proud to provide our services to such an important offshore infrastructure project," said Captain Rado Antolovic, CEO and managing director of DP World’s Maritime Services Division. "Using out integrated services to deliver expertise for further advancement of the UAE’s offshore industry is a priority for us at Drydocks World and we look forward to constructing more projects in our Dubai facility for the UAE."

Dubai’s Drydocks World has completed an unmanned platform to handle oil, gas lift and water injection for offshore contractor TechnipFMC and end client Dubai Petroleum.
