Oil/chemical tanker reflagged

The Hellespont Group has emphasized ist commitment to the German shipowning community by electing to switch the registy of one of its vessels to the German flag. The decision to reflag the 2007 built, 13,000 dwt oil/chemical tanker “Hellespont Credo” from the Liberian to the German registry was explained by the company that it is not an indication of any dissatisfaction with the Liberian Registry. Rather it underlines Hellespont recognition of the commitment given by the German shipowning community to the German government to support the national registry and thereby preserve the advantages of the German tonnage tax system.
