Anti-piracy simulator course

It shall privide seafaring officers, CSO and other operators a thorough undestanding of the problem, the defence-in-depth principle and how to practise countermeasures and evasive manoeuvres in case a ship is attacked by pirates.

Content of the course comprises understanding and evaluating the threat, pirate tactics, countermeasures and shipboard organisation, stress including pirate attack and bridge team simulations. Participants are to be enabled to form an effective strategy to avoid the risk and to handle a ship appropriately if an attack occurs. The course gives ship-owners, masters and crews tools for a strategic approach and practical skills when sailing through piracy waters.
