Navico to acquire marine monitoring specialist Naviop

The acquisition will enable Navico to move ahead with a shift from a central multifunction display to an integrated could-connected information system. With long experience of industrial automation, Naviop systems can work both as an integration hub and as a digital switching system managing industrial installations such as air conditioning systems and diesel generator units.
"We are pleased to welcome Naviop to the Navico family," said Leif Ottosson, Navico‘s CEO. "For years, auto manufacturers have provided consumers with a complete integration solution at their fingertips, and we, as a marine industry, have fallen behind the curve to provide the same level of convenience and control. With Naviop, we have taken a step forward to provide a comprehensive system-integration package for the boat-building market.

Marine electronics company Navico® is to acquire marine monitoring and control system provider NaviopTM which

will provide a framework for integrating data from boats equipped with Simrad, Lowrance and B&G marine

electronics, all brands within the Navico group. A multifunction display will provide a hub for complete system control and information.
