Marine technology drives sustainable ocean development

The German Association for Marine Technology (GMT) is presenting its services and expertise at the joint stand “Maritime Technologies” at SMM.
The GMT represents the interests of companies and research institutions in the field of marine technology. It connects its members from industry and science in order to initiate national and international research projects and provides support in the development of innovative products and services as well as in the opening up of new national and international market segments. Particularly regarding the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, sustainable marine technology is becoming increasingly important by developing technologies for the exploration, protection and sustainable use of the oceans. 
GMT is once again partner of the Offshore Dialogue, which will take place on September 3rd under the theme “Secure Offshore Technologies for Future Oceans” and is an official initiative of the UN Decade of the Ocean. The two sessions, “Secure Offshore Infrastructures (10.30 to 11.30 a.m.) and “Secure Offshore Energy” (11.45 a.m. to 12.45 p.m.) will take place on the Energy Efficiency Stage in Hall A4.
On September 3rd, from 16:00 - 18:00., the Maritime Cluster Northern Germany and the GMT will once again be inviting members and representatives from business, science, politics and the media to the traditional “Blue Hour” at the joint stand.
In the immediate vicinity of the joint stand, Canadian companies and organisations will be presenting themselves at the stand “Canada’s Maritime Industries”.  The GMT will continue the successful cooperation of recent years.
