Havyard streamlines its corporate structure

The two companies, with about 70 employees in total, have a presence in Ålesund, Bergen and Egersund and NES will continue to operate out of these three locations.
Tor Leif Mongstad, CEO of NES, noted that simplifying the structure would lead to synergies and the combined entity would now be able to deliver integrated systems from bridge to propeller.
“Our customers will notice that we are now offering everything they need in one package,” he said. “Previously NCS delivered navigation, DP and automation, and NES delivered electrical packages and propulsion systems. Now, there will be one organisation, one project and one offer – all in one optimal package.”
NES specialises in electric and hybrid propulsion systems, automation and integrated navigation. Its orderbook today is worth NOK 634 million.

Norway’s Havyard Group is simplifying its corporate structure with the acquisition by subsidiary Norwegian Electric Systems AS (NES) of Norwegian Control Systems AS (NCS), another group company.
