"USS America" designed with ShipConstructor

The "USS America" (LHA 6), designed with ShipConstructor Software, will be the most technologically advanced amphibious naval ship to date according to U.S. Navy Capt. Robert Howell, Executive Officer and Director of Contracts, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Gulf Coast, who made this observation at the recent keel laying ceremony for the ship in Pascagoula.

First BCP propellers

Berg Propulsion is to deliver the first examples of the newly launched Berg Controllable Pitch Propeller (BCP) with feathering capability, with separate orders for installations on board two chemical tankers under construction at the Dingheng (Jiangsu) Shipbuilding Co, in China, and an 85.5m long ferry being built at Eastern Shipbuilding Group, of Panama City, Florida.
