Harris Pye and Sobrena Shipyard sign collaboration MOU

Two major players in the marine industry, the Harris Pye Group, based in Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, and Sobrena Shiprepair Yard, of Brest, have signed a non-exclusive collaboration agreement to work together providing services for refurbishment, repair, upgrade, conversion and life extension of ships and offshore assets across the marine, cruise and oil and gas fields.

Start of Vietnam-US East Coast Service

CKYH Alliance (Coscon, "K"LINE, Yang Ming, and Hanjin Shipping) will start a direct service between Vietnam and the U.S. East Coast by adding Ho Chi Minh City in its current AWE-4 (All Waters East Coast-4) service, which is one of the Alliance’s Far East - U.S. East Coast lanes operated by "K" LINE, effective from the middle of August, 2009.

Modern Commercial Navy (MCN) PLC and United Industrial Corporation JSC (OPK) have signed a cooperation agreement, anticipating the developmental work of technical and commercial operation factors of the construction of multifunctional supply icebreaker and also tankers for transportation of liquefied natural gas. The tankers’ capacity total 75000 m³.
