Grimaldi Group expanding shortsea services

Grimaldi roro carrier

Offering three departures per week in both directions, from Cagliari it will be possible to reach the Spanish harbour of Valencia in 24 hours and Salerno in just 14 hours, bringing Sardinia closer to the Spanish and southern Italian markets.

Another new aspect introduced by this new line will be a link between Sardinia and Sicily. With transhipment in Salerno, from Cagliary there will be two sailings per week to Palermo and vice-versa.

The new shortsea service will be operated by two roro vessels with a service speed of 20 knots, offering a cargo capacity of 170 trucks and trailers and 500 cars.

A new maritime connection, Salerno-Cagliar-Valencia, was added to Naples based Grimaldi Group's liner services. It opens up the Sardinian Island to the whole network of shortsea links.
